Tree seats and tree benches are a delightful way to provide seating around the base of a tree. There is something special about sitting underneath a large tree and looking out on the park or area where it is growing. Typically 2 or 3 people can sit on each part of the seat, allowing some privacy or separation from others who might also be using it.
Nearly all tree seats have wooden seats, so they fit in well with the tree and the natural environment. We provide a wide variety of tree seats and tree benches, all made from top quality hardwood
or softwood.
TREE BENCHES
The base of trees is rarely a perfect circle and a circular tree seat can therefore look odd as well as not allowing two or more people to sit beside each other facing the same way. Our tree benches are either hexagonal or square. The square design maximises the number of people that can sit directly beside each other and easily talk with each other.
The hardwood slats are thick and designed to be extremely hard wearing and long lasting.
There is a choice of materials to support these tree benches.
Galvanised steel looks good and ensures rust prevention. Although black is the most popular colour for the powder coating, other colours are available if one of those would fit in better in their new environment.
Alternatively an even more maintenance free option would be to go for exposed aggregate concrete supports.
A tree bench has no back support, although sometimes the tree can be used for this purpose.
TREE SEATS
Tree seats do offer a fixed support for backs. Our hexagonal tree seat comes with galvanised steel supports and hardwood slats. It combines contemporary looks with durability and yet blends in well in the natural environment.
Above ground and below ground models are available. The former lend themselves to being bolted to a hard flat surface. Alternatively the below ground tree seats and tree benches have extended pillars that are concreted into the ground - ideal on grassed or uneven ground.
Do make sure that you have allowed sufficient growing room for the tree seats or tree benches that you are looking to buy. If in doubt consult a tree expert who will be able to advise what the likely maximum girth of the tree will be. Our tree seats and tree benches are designed to last a long time!
