Park, town and playground seats include backrests as opposed to benches which don't. However, many people still refer to them as a park bench.
There is something timeless about park benches. They are of course usually associated with an attractive, picturesque setting and being a place to talk with friends, keep an eye on your children at play, enjoy some food or drink, read a book or newspaper or just relax and watch the world go by. All enjoyable activities associated with leisure. Park seats can create an oasis of peace and tranquillity in a world that rushes by with ever increasing pace.
We offer outdoor seats that come in a variety of materials to suit different placements.
ALL METAL VANDAL RESISTANT SEATS
Most of our benches have top quality hardwood slats for seating and back supports, but for extra vandal resistance we also offer The Avenue all metal seat. With cast iron supports and zinc plated steel seat slats; it is an ideal option for parks, promenades, and other areas where it might be prone to vandalism. To ensure that it complements its surroundings a choice of colours are available - black, dark green, dark blue, grey, burgundy, red and yellow. It comes with fixing points to allow for a secure anchorage.
TRADITIONAL PARK SEATS
This same design of outdoor bench also comes in a more traditional style. The Avenue Seat with hardwood slats and treated cast iron supports in a range of colours
ALUMINIUM SEATS
The Cerro seat is a very attractive addition to our range. With treated aluminium castings and angled arm rests it looks stunning. It is particularly suited to modern town centres, up market financial centres and other contemporary settings. However it can also work really well as a contrast in a more historic, traditional environment.
GALVANISED STEEL SEATS
There are 2 styles of outdoor timber seats with galvanised steel supports, The Beaufort Seat and the Kara Seat. The steel treatment protects against corrosion and is powder coated with a choice from a range of colours. Above ground (for bolting to a hard flat surface) and below ground (for soft or uneven areas) fixing styles are available. The Beaufort also has another option available that has armrests.
LOW MAINTENANCE SEATS
The seat that requires the least maintenance is the Southampton Seat. It has an exposed aggregate finish to the supports and the wooden slats are secured with hardwood plug fixings to deter vandal access. The concrete supports extend below ground creating an exceptionally secure fixing. The thick hardwood slats can either be stained, or left to weather naturally with no loss of strength. Pressure treated softwood slats are an alternative option. |
